Origin: Indian sub-continent

Description: Variable in appearance, with colour ranging from yellowy brown through pinky brown to rich, dark brown, usually with darker streaks and markings. Sometimes has a pretty mottle figure. The logs are only exported from India after conversion into veneer and supplies are limited. Used for high quality panelling and special furniture.
