Description: A very beautiful cabinet timber, Kingwood is sliced from small logs to produce a rich, violet-brown veneer, usually closely streaked with lighter and darker markings. Used in high quality cabinet making for many years, particularly by the French, and now chiefly used for fine individual and replica furniture, special interiors and for inlay work.
